NatureMetrics is a start-up technology company that uses DNA to deliver essential data on biodiversity to companies across a range of high impact sectors including energy, mining, water, marine as well as the conservation sector. We have grown rapidly since 2016 and are just completing an investment raise to accelerate our growth with the ambition of being the premier brand providing biodiversity data to companies globally by 2025. We are a team of bright, high energy individuals who are excited to be breaking new ground and disrupting the world of biodiversity monitoring. We take great pride in our work and are seeking new team members who will do the same.
You will lead our work across the world to build our brand and reputation through marketing and communications. You will sit within the business development team and ensure that our marketing is focussed on lead generation in our core sectors but you will also work closely with the CEO on our brand and communication strategy. You will manage a team of two existing communications managers and have the potential to recruit and build a larger team. You will also work with external agencies where required.
You will develop an in-depth understanding of Nature Metrics’ offering and act as the brand guardian across all marketing and communications activity including any reactive communications required to defend our brand. You will ensure all marketing activity delivers on the Nature Metrics Brand proposition.
As well as initiating and implementing your own marketing campaigns and communications, you will also manage any external suppliers engaged by Nature Metrics to support marketing and lead generation efforts.
You will keep up to date with the latest innovations and trends in biodiversity, eDNA, competitors and audience insights, to ensure all marketing activity supports and is aligned to the business’s growth strategy in the most effective and cost-efficient way possible.
You will have the strategic skills and experience to lead and develop a new marketing function in a growing business which is already selling internationally and has aspirations to grow in four key international regions. You will be excited about the work of a start-up which requires a lot of ‘doing’ as well as ‘thinking’ as everyone rolls up their sleeves and pulls together to make the impossible happen as our business grows!
